November 15-16-17, 2023 GDR NADPH Oxydase-Stress Oxydant (4th scientific meeting) and Club Oxydase Francophone (13th symposium), Orsay, Université Paris-Saclay
The CNRS GDR2039 "NADPH oxidase, oxidative stress" (NOX-ROS) and Club Oxydase are jointly organizing a scientific meeting in Orsay (Salle Magat, ICP, Université Paris Saclay) from November 15 to 17, 2023. This meeting will cover redox biology involved in physiological or pathological processes in the living world (mammals, plants, bacteria...) as well as (bio)chemistry, the biology of reactive oxygen species and associated biological or environmental stresses. It's an opportunity to review and discuss new advances in these fields. This year, leading international (Belgium; Switzerland; Israel) and French speakers are invited. Oral contributions from young researchers are encouraged, as are poster sessions and social events. A little background:The ROS-NOX GDR, created in 2019, aims to federate a community with a focus on the redox biology involved in various physiological and pathological processes, through redox signaling and oxidative stress. These themes encompass the chemistry of reactive oxygen and nitrogen species, the mechanisms behind their production in the cell, and their impact on living organisms (micro-organisms, plants, mammals).
The Club Oxydase was created in Grenoble over vignt years ago on the initiative of Pr Françoise Morel. Since then, every two years it has brought together members of French-speaking academic research teams, as well as pharmaceutical teams like Servier, working on the NADPH Oxidase family, one of the key players in redox biology.
The congress will start on Wednesday November 15 in the early afternoon and end on Friday November 17 after lunch.
Costs:
Registration is mandatory and limited to 80 people.
Students do not pay a registration fee, but are required to register.
The registration fee for other participants is €60 (incl. VAT) and covers all coffee breaks, lunches on November 16 and 17, and dinners on November 15 and 17.
Access to the congress site and some practical aspects :
The conference will take place on the Orsay campus of the Université Paris Saclay in the Salle Magat of the Institut de Chimie Physique in Bâtiment 349 (http://www.lcp.u-psud.fr/spip.php?rubrique64).
The building is easily accessible by RER-B (Orsay ville station).
Oral presentations will be in French whenever possible. All materials (slides and posters) must be in English.
